Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Web Design Company Toronto (WDCT) collects when you visit webdesigncompanytoronto.ca, how we use it, and the choices you have. WDCT is a blog about web design, SEO and content marketing. It is run by The Ant Firm, Ltd., a web design studio based in Ontario, Canada.

We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect as little as we can and never sell your personal information.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you send a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address and whatever you write. If you leave a comment, we collect your name, email address and comment text. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and analytics tools record basic technical details when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you view and how you arrived. This helps us understand which articles are useful and keep the site secure.

How we use it

  • To reply to your messages and questions
  • To publish and moderate comments
  • To send our newsletter, only if you signed up for it
  • To understand how readers use the site so we can improve our articles
  • To protect the site from spam, abuse and security threats

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to measure traffic and see how people find our articles. Google collects this data through cookies and similar technologies. You can learn how Google uses it in How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

We may show ads on this site through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings or learn more at aboutads.info.

Affiliate links and sponsored content

Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the company may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, that company may set its own cookies to track the referral. We label sponsored posts and affiliate links clearly.

Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the details in the comment form plus your IP address and browser information to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy. Once a comment is approved, your name, profile picture and comment are visible to the public.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them to keep the site working, remember comment details if you choose, measure traffic and, where ads run, serve advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as expected if you do.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles may include embedded content such as videos or images from other websites. Embedded content behaves the same way as if you had visited the other website directly, and that website may collect data about you.

Who we share information with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our web host, email provider and the analytics and advertising tools listed above, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to respond and follow up. Comments and their details are kept so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically. Newsletter subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, except where we must keep it for legal or security reasons. To make a request, email webdesigncompanytorontoca@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is written for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes, for example when we add advertising or new tools. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
